Operator of a fuel oil business and for many years an officer in the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Wilson, a Brunswick native, was for 20 years employed at the Brunswick bulk plant of the Standard Oil Co. He established and operated his own fuel oil business in 1932.
One of the early members of the reorganized Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Wilson held various offices. For many years he was captain of the then Hook and Ladder Company. He retired in 1959.
He attended local schools. He served in the Army during the First World War, returning to Brunswick to marry the former Annie Cairns of Brunswick, following his discharge. Herbert Roscoe ("Bubbles") Wilson and Annie E Cairns appeared in the census in 1950.¹
